Her donation: Contents I, 2017 Photograph on aluminum composite
The work focuses on that which often remains unsaid. There are contents that are not easily described, ones that we only recognize through feeling but that is not to say they are non existent. This photographic series captures me in a canvas, ready for the paint. The canvas is a symbol of the painting tradition, a space where art history is made concrete. I move within this enclosed space, trying to say something that is unable to be revealed. Most likely it will warn the substance or at least the existence.
